Mount Dinham Peregrine Falcons

St Michael & All Angels Church at Mount Dinham in Exeter has had visiting and nesting peregrines since the 1980s. The church was built in 1867-88 and the spire is 73 metres or 230 feet high. The nest box inside the spire is at a height of about 35 metres or 110 feet. The peregrines usually hatch 3 or 4 young a year.

The Peregrine Project at St Michael’s broadcasts live camera footage from right inside the Peregrines’ nest box and shares this and other information and research publications with the public at large. When the cameras are in action, you can view them here and find out more about the peregrine falsons.
